Opening Ceremony of Grade 2022

The Opening Ceremony of Grade 2022 was held in Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) on September 30th . At the ceremony, Ding Weiguang,President of JZMU, presented a lecture on university’s spiritual, historical and future development to over 3000 freshmen. Other members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of JZMU attended the ceremony as well. All teachers and students of JZMU attended the ceremony online and offline. Qu Wei, Vice-secretary of the Party Committee of JZMU, presided the ceremony.

A flag-raising ceremony was held at the beginning of the opening ceremony. Afterwards, Zhang Lijuan, Vice-president of JZMU, announced 92 freshmen winners of merit scholarship, and Standing Committee members of the Party Committee presented the freshmen representatives their school’s banners respectively.

Li Hongqi, Zhu Changshuai and Luke Kuriloca Baleiwai made a speech on behalf of the undergraduates, postgraduates and overseas students of grade 2022 respectively. They expressed their determination to overcome difficulties, as the spirit of JZMU says, engaged in innovating scientific research, committed to promoting academic level and practical ability, and devoted to the development of people’s physical and mental health as much as the cause of medical and health services.

Dr. Chen Dong, Excellent Clinical Doctor of Liaoning Province, expressed optimistic expectations and heart felt wishes to the freshmen on behalf of the faculty. By talking about his own learning experience and sharing his personal insight to life, he encouraged the freshmen to carry forward the spirit of JZMU and stick to the firm belief of benevolence and life-saving.

“Welcome to JZMU”, Ding Weiguang said in his welcome speech. Based on the glorious 76-year history of the university, he imitated President Xi Jinping’s remarks “Jinzhou is nice” by saying “JZMU is nice”, and expressed the expectations that the freshmen should embrace responsibility with passion, learn to be independent and forge ahead in an innovative and enterprising spirit.

At last, he encouraged the freshmen to strive for dreams on their new journey of life and help JZMU become the spiritual home and dreamland for all the JZMUers.
