Visit of Malta International Education Delegation to JZMU

On October 24th, KARL Farrugia Wismayer, Chief Representative of the Malta National Education Delegation, and Ms. Ding Ning, Admission Representative of the University of Malta in China, visited JZMU. An international cooperation conference between the Malta National Education Delegation and JZMU was held in the academic seminar room of the library. President Ding Weiguang of JZMU, President Zhang Xuefu as well as Executive Vice President Zhang Zhan of Jinzhou Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, heads of Office of Human Resources, Office of Academic Affairs, International Exchange and Cooperation Center, Teaching Evaluation Center, School of Nursing, School of Medical Humanities, School of Food and Health, Modern Industrial School of Health Management, and College of International Education attended the conference.

At the conference, President Ding Weiguang first welcomed KARL Farrugia Wismayer and his delegation and introduced JZMU. He pointed out that the visit of the Malta National Education Delegation further deepened the friendship between China and Malta and promoted the internationalization of medical education in JZMU. He hoped that both sides can seize this opportunity to enhance cooperation and exchange, improve the level of international education, work together for win-win cooperation, and promote JZMU to form a new pattern of all-round, multi-level, and normalized international exchange and cooperation on the basis of mutual learning, construction, and sharing.

In the afternoon, the Malta National Education Delegation visited the Oncology Department, Central Laboratory, and TCM Department in the First Clinical Medical School of JZMU.

Mr. KARL Farrugia Wismayer introduced the educational resources and cooperation projects of the University of Malta and EU universities and expressed his intention to cooperate with JZMU. Both sides expressed their cooperative intention in joint research, physician training, and student exchange, and extended invitations to each other, hoping to exchange visits soon.
